ABOUT

Miss Khadeeja Rashid

I am a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist with over 10 years’ experience working independently and in the NHS across hospital and community/home settings. I specialise in working with adults who have acquired or progressive neurological conditions such as Stroke, Brain Injury, Parkinson’s Disease and Motor Neuron Disease. I provide comprehensive clinical assessments, advice and treatment for communication and swallowing difficulties using a range of assessments, therapy resources and innovative techniques such as the Lee Silverman Voice Training (LSVT) programme for patients with Parkinson’s Disease. Treatment packages are tailor made to suit individual requirements and can be delivered in your home, a place of work or using telemedicine where clinically appropriate. I am a bilingual therapist and am able to offer therapy in Urdu. I also provide swallow and communication training to residential/care home staff through training workshops to build staff capability and capacity. Please contact me for further information.
